ALU Installations were appointed as the principal contractor for the project at Drummond Street. Leveraging our extensive expertise in fire remediation, we meticulously created a purpose-built scaffolding system that provided access to each individual balcony. This custom scaffolding was essential to ensure that the work could be carried out efficiently and safely, minimizing disruption to the residents and maintaining high safety standards throughout the process.
Once the scaffolding was erected, our team began the meticulous task of removing the non-compliant, combustible composite decking. This was a critical step, as the existing decking did not meet current fire safety regulations and posed a significant risk. Our skilled workers carefully removed and disposed of the old decking, into our purpose built caged tipper ensuring no waste was left onsite overnight providing extra specific site safety measures.
Following the removal of the old decking, we commenced the installation of the fully non-combustible AliDeck system. This state-of-the-art decking solution is designed to meet the highest safety standards, significantly enhancing the building’s fire resistance. The AliDeck system not only provides superior fire protection but also offers durability and aesthetic appeal, contributing to the overall improvement of the property.
