This project involves the removal of combustible decking and substructure, the installation of an efius fireproof membrane, the installation of a non-combustible Alideck aluminium substructure and cement fiber board, and the installation of an Alideck soffit that will be functioning as a drainage system to effectively discharge water from the balconies.
The removal of combustible materials is essential to ensure the safety of the building and protect it from potential fire hazards. By replacing the existing decking and substructure with the non-combustible Alideck aluminium substructure and cement fiber board, we can enhance the fire resistance of the structure.
The efius fireproof membrane plays a vital role in inhibiting the spread of fire. By sealing the space between the new substructure and the existing building, it provides an additional layer of protection against fire. The membrane’s fire-resistant properties help prevent flames from penetrating the building and endangering the occupants.
To further enhance the fire resistance of the building, a non-combustible Alideck aluminium substructure and cement fiber board will be installed. These materials are specifically designed to resist fire and meet the strict fire safety standards required in buildings of this nature. By incorporating these materials, we aim to create an environment that is as safe as possible.
In addition to fire resistance, the project also involves the installation of an Alideck soffit. This soffit will not only act as a decorative element but also serve as a drainage system for the balconies. By channeling water away from the building’s exterior, the soffit will help prevent the build-up of moisture, reducing the risk of water damage and structural issues.
Overall, the East Quay House project involves a comprehensive approach to enhance the fire safety of the building. Through the removal of combustible materials, the installation of an efius fireproof membrane, the utilization of a non-combustible Alideck aluminium substructure and cement fiber board, and the implementation of an Alideck soffit as a drainage system, we are taking significant steps towards creating a safer environment for the occupants.
